Sales Excellence is primarily responsible for the further development of our sales organization and, depending on the project, holds various functions as strategy advisor, business and sparring partner. In doing so, the team takes care of all global sales related matters at Hapag-Lloyd.

Located at our global Headquarter in Hamburg we seek for a
Manager (m/f/d) Sales Excellence
Responsibilities and Tasks:- Develop existing as well as new global and local sales concepts and training programs to support/change/improve sales skillsets and behaviors
- Oversee training material and suggest improvements
- Assist in evaluating organizational capabilities and identify training needs
- Maintain updated curriculum database
- Participate in rolling out new trainings either online or on the ground
- Report on training program effectiveness
- Ensure proper anchoring of concepts in Areas and Regions
- Challenge, coach and develop all Sales leaders and teams to correctly apply “best practice” processes and tools as part of daily business operations
- Support the execution of best practice solutions across all Regions and Areas to ensure maximum impact sustainably
- Ensuring CRM is being used effectively and provides a competitive advantage
- Establish a sales excellence culture across the global sales organization to more efficiently and effectively serve our customers
- Ensure that all deliverables reflects improved quality for our customers as well as more efficient processes and/or extra revenue streams for Hapag-Lloyd
- Travelling when required/when Covid-19 allows for approx. 20-30 days per year
Requirements and Qualifications:
- University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Business, Commerce, Sales and Marketing or similar
- Professional experience, preferably in sales execution or management
- Good understanding of sales processes
- Experience with conceptual development
- Good command of power point and can design/build presentations
- Excellent presentation and argumentation skills and ability to transfer key messages in a convincing way
- Capable of understanding, mapping, and working with data in a structured and analytical manner
- Strong ability to implement solutions and changes in cooperation with relevant HQ and Regional/Area stakeholders for sustainable gains for Hapag-Lloyd as well as customers
- Solid project and stakeholder management skills to drive and/or support general Sales Excellence projects/pilots when and where needed
